YOU CAN SHAKE ON IT
It doesn’t matter where you look, you see it: lack. Lack means not enough. Lack doesn’t just reveal itself in poverty, but also in relationships and even work ethics. When lack appears there is a deficiency that is apparent. Some of us turn away from this gruesome sight and others lend a helping hand. God is concerned about work ethics in this particular word to you.
Oh yes, there is such a thing, work ethics. Work ethics is not just in your income for your ability to work, but in moral work ethics also. Work ethics will take you all the way, and no work ethics will take you some of the way. There are many qualified and able professionals that can do the job. It is so easy to be replaced, but how many professionals have moral conduct in their workplace?
Your superiors watch for this, and their superiors, and their superiors, right up to me, the most high God. I am the supreme, omnipotent, almighty God. I speak to your hearts today children. Never just help when needed, but help all the time. There is always a lack, do not just help to get a reward, but help in areas that are not yours. Hold doors, open doors, hold the elevator button, let someone go before you, woman or man, buy or pickup lunch for someone who has a deadline, and if your coworkers are behind then lend them a helping hand so you both will be prompt for your assignments. When taking breaks, always consider other co-workers if they have a need. Never isolate or become aloof with your co-workers. This is rude and if there’s a lack you will never know it. If you do this, your work ethics will climb to the top and so will you. You can shake on it.
“Help me, O Lord my God; O save me according to thy mercy: That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it” (PSALM 109:26,27).
