A CHRISTMAS CHEER

Holidays are absolutely marvelous! Most of us recently experienced a turkey delight in the month of November. Absolutely engaging and savoring the best meal of the year! Thanksgiving meals are absolutely scrumptious with its roasted turkey, dressing, and all of the delicious side dishes. Oh my, what a delight it was for many of us this past Thanksgiving. Turkey dinners for leftovers, turkey casseroles, turkey sandwiches, turkey salads, were our choices or more. It's absolutely astonishing how one meal can bring God’s people from different parts of the world to join together, all races, nationalities, to share one turkey and give thanks to God almighty for all he has done for us. Most of us were so grateful for the shelter, food, water, and clothing that God has bestowed upon us with so many prospects to accompany; magnificent! We, the people of God, are so grateful and receptive to God’s amazing grace.

However, it doesn’t stop here at Thanksgiving. We, the body of Christ, Christians, celebrate more by remembering the day that the Savior of the world was born. This is the ultimate thank you to God. Under our Christmas trees, with beautifully wrapped gifts will be a memorial to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Oh my, how delightful and tickled we are as we shop for our loved ones and give them presents to the memorial to our Savior’s birth. This is what the wise men did. They presented gifts to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at his birth.

Beloved, we must all remember why we celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas. Christmas is splendid. The decorations and lights are wonderful, but we must always remember that Jesus is the light of the world. All of this is a witness to Jesus’ birth and his birthright: King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Never forget, beloved, all that God has done for you. Always be thankful during the holidays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, for God’s goodness, grace, and mercies, and for giving us his only begotten Son to be the Savior to us and the world! What a Christmas cheer! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Amen.

Glory Be To God,
