GOD KNITS
This is the season that God is mending fences of the old and anew. The most high God needs his army (troops) to be ready on the front line for battle, a spiritual battle. Our time is winding down. The time is at hand and the Lord of host is calling his troops to be ready as good soldiers should be. God, in heaven, has a spiritual army that he is raising up to be equipped and ready to fight against the darkness that is covering the earth. Are you ready, as a soldier for the Lord, to go to battle for the Lord of host? Are you ready to put on your full armor of God?
This battle of the Lord requires God’s soldiers to have a consistent life of dedicated prayer with fastings and submerging oneself in the word of God. God’s army is equipped to do spiritual battle in the spirit realm, believing that God will cast down our enemies by our faith in him. There are soldiers of God that are not on the battlefield because the adversary has detached them from the church (the body of Christ) and from ordained purposed relationships. God has purposed relationships from the foundation of the earth to fulfill his good pleasure. Although the adversary contends and disputes God’s purpose for his solidiers, it doesn’t prevail and it is a failure because God has knitted the hearts of his armies together for his perfect will. Our heavenly Father has knitted Christian men and women on the battlefield to their commanders. God has knitted commanders’ hearts on the battlefield to their captains’ hearts. God has knitted friendships, souls one to another for battle purposes the way he did King David and Saul’s son Jonathan. God is in control!
Oh, beloved, God is an excellent knitter. The most high has weaved and tightly fitted together his purpose so that nothing or any human being or spiritual thing can come against his purpose and good pleasure toward his army (beloved church). God in heaven has purposed his will through his captains of his army, as King David. King David was the captain of God’s army for Israel. When the children of Benjamin and Judah came to King David to partner as allies to his army, David made it vivid that if you are coming to help me in a peaceful manner and not to become my enemy, nor to harm or do harm to me, my heart will be knitted to yours. But, if you come to be my allies under false pretense, to betray me to my enemies, God in heaven will stop you. Beloved, it the same way for today. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. King David knew that if Benjamin and Judah were to become allies with him, God would knit their hearts with his. Beloved, it is God’s way.
You see, beloved, when God knits our hearts together with righteous allies and friendships, and the brethren, God knits it so tight that nothing or no one can come between God’s purpose and you. This is why the knitting of God is so powerful, unlike crocheting, God weaves a tight knit where nothing can come between you and his purpose. King David knew this all too well. If you are supposed to be on my side and help me, the kingdom of God, I’ll know because your hearts will be knitted with mine. It is a guarantee. It is the word of God!
How do you know if God has knitted your hearts to someone? One, you will know because they are Christians, real born-again believers, and the Holy Spirit is doing the knitting for God and there is a spiritual bond between you and your allies and the body of Christ, God’s church. We are one because we have been baptized by the Holy Spirit as one. The body of Christ's hearts and souls are knitted together, so are God’s army, which is the church. God has captains and commanders in the front line in his church. It is the Apostles and Prophets that God has purposed for spiritual battle and no one can pull them apart because they are knitted and tightly fitted together by the Spirit of the Lord, God is a knitter! Oh yes, beloved, God is repairer of the breach and he is mending fences this season for his glory. If there has been a quarrel or conflict between the brethren, God will repair it because it is time for the spiritual warfare and he needs us on the frontline for battle. God’s purpose will be fulfilled.
God has an army and his soldiers will take their places despite our differences because God has ordained his will and love by his Holy Spirit because God is a knitter. In Jesus name, Amen.
“And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. And Saul took him that day, and would let him go no more home to his father's house. Then Jonathan and David made a covenant because he loved him as his own soul.” (I SAMUEL 18:1-3).
“And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David. And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it. Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band” (I CHRONICLES 12:16-18).
“And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit” (EPHESIANS 2:20-22).
