WHERE IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN?
From the beginning of time the unknown had always been perplexing to all mankind. It is something spectacular but yet humbling not knowing your future. The future belongs to tomorrow. The present belongs to today. This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it, God declares from heaven. The most-high God sits in heaven and the earth is his footstool. We, as Christians, born-again believers in Jesus Christ, must always be mindful of this. Heaven is the most-high God’s dwelling place. If we, as Christians, accept this and believe it, we will have a clear revelation about our destiny: heaven.
Heaven should always be our ultimate destiny and our highest goal in life, as believers. Yes, beloved, goals are to be set forward and aimed to achieve. However, our highest goal as Christians should be heaven. We as believers of Jesus Christ should set our goals to heavenly things, but instead many times we, as the body of Christ, tend to set our mind on earthly things, perhaps to give us comfort until we get to our permanent home, heaven. We as Christians not being able to see heaven but yet we are promised that heaven will be our eternal home is somehow far-fetched to many Christians. We as Christians do believe that heaven is our eternal promised land. The world and earthly things are constantly offering us worldly goods and substances that we can see and behold. Somehow seeing gives many Christians great satisfaction in beholding material substances. Being mindful of them by their appearances daily can conflict with what is to come. Beloved, you are cutting yourselves short of the promise to come, heaven. There is a perfection in the unknown. Underneath the unknown lies trust: trust in God. Trust in God is where our treasures are stored in heaven not on earth.
As we begin to renew our minds in the Spirit about heavenly things and not on earthly things, then and only then will we suddenly see a shift for the kingdom principles in our Christian lives. God in heaven is waiting to offer you the kingdom if you are ready to believe that our Christian lives are not about the earth that we live in, this is only a temporary place, but to set your mind on heavenly things that are everlasting. Beloved, we are only to do this by walking in the Spirit; Walking in the Spirit of God by Jesus Christ. This will take a yielding of your spirit to God’s Spirit.
When you are driving your vehicle off a ramp to yield to the freeway you accelerate to merge and blend with the flowing traffic if there is room. If there is no room for you to merge your vehicle in with the traffic because of the constant flow of the other vehicles, one must immediately yield to the traffic and let them bypass you and when there is room for you then you will yield or flow with the traffic. It is the same with the Spirit of the Lord. We as God’s people have our own spirits but we must always yield to the Holy Spirit. We as Christians must always yield to the Spirit of Christ that is inside of us. The Holy Spirit will always let your spirit know when to slow down. It doesn’t matter how fast you are going. It doesn’t matter if your speed is fast, there are times that you can’t merge in the flow of life because the Holy Spirit says, “wait, yield.” And it’s just like that! The Spirit of the Lord is saying to take a few minutes to yield and ponder about your heavenly home: heaven. Heaven is where all of your treasures are. Yes, we live on earth, but this is temporary. It is the heavenly things that are eternal.
We sign our names on many documents on earth. That is the way to identify or confirm who we are: by the signature of our name. We cannot purchase houses, cars, even holy matrimony to marry - we must sign our names on these documents. It is a must. In heaven, it is the same. If you are a born-again believer, Christian, you cannot enter into the kingdom of God unless your name is written into the book of life. You must yield! Where is your name written? Are you an unbeliever reading this letter? An unbeliever or not, where is your name written? If you are not a believer (believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God) your name is written in the earth, not in heaven. You need to make a decision to receive Jesus Christ in your heart right now. Not tomorrow, but now. You want your name to be written in heaven. Oh, people of God, you cannot enter into the kingdom of God if your name is not written into the book of life, which is in heaven. You must yield! Slow down, make a decision today. You must yield! Where is your name written?
Jesus was confronted by the Pharisees about a woman being caught in adultery. The Pharisees were not trying to expose the woman. More so, they were trying to trap and test Jesus in his righteousness. When the Pharisees showed Jesus the woman and declared to him what they saw, before Jesus responded to them, he stooped down and with his finger, he began to write in the earth. Jesus is God, beloved. Jesus is the Christ. God took his finger and wrote the name of the unbelievers trying to trap Jesus and he wrote their names in the earth. There is not one drop of the law that Jesus has not fulfilled and that day he fulfilled the law. The Pharisees were unbelievers. They did not believe that Jesus was and is the Son of God. Pharisees do not believe that Jesus is the Christ. God himself wrote many names in one display before all men to show that their names are written in the earth but not in heaven. When Jesus was marooned by the Pharisees, he instantly yielded to the Holy Spirit. We, as Christians, must yield to the Holy Spirit for direction and guidance in our lives. Yes, the Holy Spirit is our comforter and protector but he is also the Spirit of truth.
That day, the Pharisees had no idea what they were about to encounter: the Living God. When Jesus stood up he said, “He without sin cast the first stone.” Every man from the youngest to the eldest dropped their stone and walked away. Absolutely, when Jesus knelt down on the ground and wrote their names and with a quick scroll not only did he show them their destiny, but he stood up with great wisdom in his mouth, the mouth of the Almighty, Living God. Jesus said, “He without sin cast the first stone.” Oh people of God, all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No man can judge another man and you cannot trick and deny the only Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. If you are a born-again Christian, rejoice! Your names are written in heaven. If you are not a believer of Jesus Christ you must yield! Slow down and ponder for a second! Where is your name written? Amen.
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (II CORINTHIANS 4:18).
“O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.” (JEREMIAH 17:13).
“They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground” (JOHN 8:4-8).
“Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven” (LUKE 10:20).
Glory be to God,
